The Zenius is a one-stop solution in high quality single sided monochrome and full colour blank plastic and encoded technology ID card printing. This exceptional printer is designed to deliver the highest standard of graphic performances and is easy to use at every step of the way. The printing ribbon cassette can be installed with a one-step process and comes with a clever smart chip which the Zenius will instantly identify and configure settings to match accordingly.
It’s compact and lightweight (weighing just 3.3kg/7.3lbs), the lightest printer in its category, and is perfect for popping on your business reception desk or sales counter. It is also incredibly quiet. Functioning at just 46 db (A) – an incredibly low sound level.
Innovative
The Zenius comes with two key innovations: the Evolis Premium Suite and Evolis High Trust consumable range.
The Evolis Premium Suit is the software at the core of all the latest Evolis printers. It provides the Print Centre, a configuration and printing system that monitors all communications between user and printer. Your printer can be managed entirely from your computer interface and pop-up notifications will let you know of your printer’s status including ribbon availability and maintenance alerts.
The Evolis High Trust range includes the high tech ribbon cassettes designed to provide the most effective printing results and ease of use. They also come with saver features for monochrome printing.
Future proof
The Evolis Zenius is set to replace the popular Evolis Tattoo2 ID card printer. It has the advantage of being completely scalable to match your organisations requirements, it can be upgraded onsite with multiple encoders. Flexible features allow the printer to stay in line with both your current and future printing needs.
This printer comes with the coveted Energy Star certificate and is compliant with the ErP European Directive’s guidelines on reduced energy consumption. It has both standby and sleep modes.
Versatile
The Evolis Zenius is available in two versions:
The Classic line – is a USB only printer with no encoding options, for those who wish to print basic plastic IC cards from one computer.
The Expert line – this printer has a USB and Ethernet connection and comes with multiple encoding options (on-site integration and factory mounted). This printer is ideal for those who need to share their printer on a local network or to issue badges with mag, smart contact and/or contactless technology.
Specifications
The Evolis Zenius uses colour-dye sublimation and monochrome thermal transfer using a 300 dpi print head. The single-sided printing module has 16MB of RAM and can produce edge-to-edge imagery.
It has a colour card output of 120-150 cards per hour and monochrome output of 400-500 cards per hour.
Automated or manual card feeding is possible.
